Son p\u00e8re, Ali Maalem, avocat et d\u00e9put\u00e9 maire de Batna, dans les Aur\u00e8s, occupait une position interm\u00e9diaire entre d\u00e9fenseur du FLN et membre des rangs gaullistes. Il en paiera le prix.
